Solid Waste Disposal

In Bulgaria, the sub-sector Solid Waste Disposal (part of Waste) was responsible for 2.24 Mt CO₂eq of emissions in the year 2021, which is 4.2% of total emissions in that year. Compared to 1990 (2.1 Mt CO₂eq), emissions have increased by 6.6%. Under existing measures, emissions are projected to reach 1.21 Mt CO₂eq by 2050.
