Agricultural Soils

In Croatia, the sub-sector Agricultural Soils (part of Agriculture) was responsible for 0.99 Mt CO₂eq of emissions in the year 2021, which is 4% of total emissions in that year. Compared to 1990 (1.26 Mt CO₂eq), emissions have decreased by 21.6%. Under existing measures, emissions are projected to reach 0.90 Mt CO₂eq by 2050.

What is part of this sector? Emissions caused by the fertilisation of soil (e.g. nitrogen fertiliser, liquid manure, sewage sludge) or by urine and manure from grazing animals.
