In Czechia, the sector Energy was responsible for 43.67 Mt CO₂eq of emissions in the year 2021, which is 36.9% of total emissions in that year. Compared to 1990 (70.67 Mt CO₂eq), emissions have decreased by 38.2%. Under existing measures, emissions from this sector are projected to reach 6.4 Mt CO₂eq by 2050.
