In Denmark, the sub-sector Residential (part of Buildings) was responsible for 1.77 Mt CO₂eq of emissions in the year 2021, which is 3.9% of total emissions in that year. Compared to 1990 (5.48 Mt CO₂eq), emissions have decreased by 67.6%. Under existing measures, emissions are projected to reach 0.17 Mt CO₂eq by 2050.
