In Denmark, the sub-sector Solid Waste Disposal (part of Waste) was responsible for 0.44 Mt CO₂eq of emissions in the year 2021, which is 1% of total emissions in that year. Compared to 1990 (1.53 Mt CO₂eq), emissions have decreased by 71.1%. Under existing measures, emissions are projected to reach 0.33 Mt CO₂eq by 2050.
