Riigis Belgia põhjustas allsektor Public electricity and heat production (osa sektorist Energeetika) aastal 2021 12.86 Mt CO₂ekv heitkoguseid, mis moodustab 11.8% selle aasta koguheitkogustest. Võrreldes 1990. aastaga (23.23 Mt CO₂ekv) on heitkogused vähenenud 44.6%. Olemasolevate meetmete korral prognoositakse heitkogusteks 13.23 Mt CO₂ekv aastaks 2050.
