Riigis Prantsusmaa põhjustas allsektor Kemikaalid (osa sektorist Tööstus) aastal 2021 8.76 Mt CO₂ekv heitkoguseid, mis moodustab 2% selle aasta koguheitkogustest. Võrreldes 1990. aastaga (13.23 Mt CO₂ekv) on heitkogused vähenenud 33.8%.
