Riigis Kreeka põhjustas allsektor Public electricity and heat production (osa sektorist Energeetika) aastal 2021 20.16 Mt CO₂ekv heitkoguseid, mis moodustab 25.9% selle aasta koguheitkogustest. Võrreldes 1990. aastaga (40.76 Mt CO₂ekv) on heitkogused vähenenud 50.5%. Olemasolevate meetmete korral prognoositakse heitkogusteks 1.23 Mt CO₂ekv aastaks 2050.
