Riigis Iirimaa põhjustas allsektor Public electricity and heat production (osa sektorist Energeetika) aastal 2021 9.71 Mt CO₂ekv heitkoguseid, mis moodustab 16.1% selle aasta koguheitkogustest. Võrreldes 1990. aastaga (10.95 Mt CO₂ekv) on heitkogused vähenenud 11.3%. Olemasolevate meetmete korral prognoositakse heitkogusteks 1.58 Mt CO₂ekv aastaks 2050.
