Riigis Läti põhjustas sektor Energeetika aastal 2021 1.55 Mt CO₂ekv heitkoguseid, mis moodustab 14.6% selle aasta koguheitkogustest. Võrreldes 1990. aastaga (6.59 Mt CO₂ekv) on heitkogused vähenenud 76.5%. Olemasolevate meetmete korral prognoositakse selle sektori heitkogusteks 0.2 Mt CO₂ekv aastaks 2050.
