Agricultural Soils
In Finland, the sub-sector Agricultural Soils (part of Agriculture) was responsible for 3.08 Mt CO₂eq of emissions in the year 2021, which is 6.4% of total emissions in that year. Compared to 1990 (3.22 Mt CO₂eq), emissions have decreased by 4.1%. Under existing measures, emissions are projected to reach 2.43 Mt CO₂eq by 2050.
What is part of this sector? Emissions caused by the fertilisation of soil (e.g. nitrogen fertiliser, liquid manure, sewage sludge) or by urine and manure from grazing animals.
