In Greece, the sub-sector Residential (part of Buildings) was responsible for 4.81 Mt CO₂eq of emissions in the year 2021, which is 6.2% of total emissions in that year. Compared to 1990 (4.95 Mt CO₂eq), emissions have decreased by 2.7%. Under existing measures, emissions are projected to reach 2.78 Mt CO₂eq by 2040.
