Solid Waste Disposal

In Greece, the sub-sector Solid Waste Disposal (part of Waste) was responsible for 4.18 Mt CO₂eq of emissions in the year 2021, which is 5.4% of total emissions in that year. Compared to 1990 (2.51 Mt CO₂eq), emissions have increased by 66.5%. Under existing measures, emissions are projected to reach 2.03 Mt CO₂eq by 2040.
