U državi Slovačka sektor Energetika bio je odgovoran za 8.4 Mt CO₂eq emisija u 2021. godini, što je 20.3% ukupnih emisija u toj godini. U usporedbi s 1990. godinom (24.04 Mt CO₂eq), emisije su smanjene za 65%. Prema postojećim mjerama, predviđa se da će emisije iz ovog sektora dosegnuti 4.7 Mt CO₂eq do 2050. godine.
