In Latvia, the sector Buildings was responsible for 1.09 Mt CO₂eq of emissions in the year 2021, which is 10.1% of total emissions in that year. Compared to 1990 (4.28 Mt CO₂eq), emissions have decreased by 74.6%. Under existing measures, emissions from this sector are projected to reach 0.4 Mt CO₂eq by 2050.
