Compared to 1990 (2.47 Mt CO₂eq), emissions have decreased by 26.9%. Under existing measures, emissions are projected to reach 1.78 Mt CO₂eq by 2050.
What is part of this sector? Emissions caused by the fertilisation of soil (e.g. nitrogen fertiliser, liquid manure, sewage sludge) or by urine and manure from grazing animals.
This sub-sector accounts for 41.9% of Agriculture emissions in Lithuania.
