In Finland was de subsector Chemical industry (onderdeel van Industrie) verantwoordelijk voor 1.33 Mt CO₂eq aan emissies in het jaar 2021, wat 2.8% van de totale emissies in dat jaar is. Vergeleken met 1990 (1.75 Mt CO₂eq) zijn de emissies gedaald met 24.2%. Onder bestaande maatregelen zullen de emissies naar verwachting 0.78 Mt CO₂eq bereiken in 2050.
