În Ungaria, sectorul Energie a fost responsabil de 14.39 Mt CO₂ech emisii în anul 2021, ceea ce reprezintă 23% din emisiile totale în acel an. Comparativ cu 1990 (30.56 Mt CO₂ech), emisiile au scăzut cu 52.9%. În cadrul măsurilor existente, emisiile din acest sector sunt estimate să ajungă la 7.8 Mt CO₂ech până în 2050.
