În Slovacia, sectorul Energie a fost responsabil de 8.4 Mt CO₂ech emisii în anul 2021, ceea ce reprezintă 20.3% din emisiile totale în acel an. Comparativ cu 1990 (24.04 Mt CO₂ech), emisiile au scăzut cu 65%. În cadrul măsurilor existente, emisiile din acest sector sunt estimate să ajungă la 4.7 Mt CO₂ech până în 2050.
