În Spania, sectorul Energie a fost responsabil de 45.05 Mt CO₂ech emisii în anul 2021, ceea ce reprezintă 15.6% din emisiile totale în acel an. Comparativ cu 1990 (82.02 Mt CO₂ech), emisiile au scăzut cu 45.1%. În cadrul măsurilor existente, emisiile din acest sector sunt estimate să ajungă la 25.2 Mt CO₂ech până în 2050.
