In Slovakia, the sector Buildings was responsible for 5 Mt CO₂eq of emissions in the year 2021, which is 12.2% of total emissions in that year. Compared to 1990 (11.87 Mt CO₂eq), emissions have decreased by 57.8%. Under existing measures, emissions from this sector are projected to reach 3.3 Mt CO₂eq by 2050.
