In Slovenia, the sector Energy was responsible for 4.56 Mt CO₂eq of emissions in the year 2021, which is 28.3% of total emissions in that year. Compared to 1990 (6.94 Mt CO₂eq), emissions have decreased by 34.3%. Under existing measures, emissions from this sector are projected to reach 5.0 Mt CO₂eq by 2050.
