Solid Waste Disposal

In Spain, the sub-sector Solid Waste Disposal (part of Waste) was responsible for 10.38 Mt CO₂eq of emissions in the year 2021, which is 3.6% of total emissions in that year. Compared to 1990 (6.13 Mt CO₂eq), emissions have increased by 69.3%. Under existing measures, emissions are projected to reach 2.35 Mt CO₂eq by 2050.
