In Bulgaria, the sector Buildings was responsible for 1.6 Mt CO₂eq of emissions in the year 2021, which is 3% of total emissions in that year. Compared to 1990 (6.42 Mt CO₂eq), emissions have decreased by 75.1%. Under existing measures, emissions from this sector are projected to reach 1.2 Mt CO₂eq by 2050.
