Riigis Soome põhjustas allsektor Petroleum refining (osa sektorist Energeetika) aastal 2021 1.1 Mt CO₂ekv heitkoguseid, mis moodustab 2.3% selle aasta koguheitkogustest. Võrreldes 1990. aastaga (2.01 Mt CO₂ekv) on heitkogused vähenenud 45.5%.
