Incineration and open burning of waste

In France, the sub-sector Incineration and open burning of waste (part of Waste) was responsible for 2.02 Mt CO₂eq of emissions in the year 2021, which is 0.5% of total emissions in that year. Compared to 1990 (2.31 Mt CO₂eq), emissions have decreased by 12.8%. Under existing measures, emissions are projected to reach 2.04 Mt CO₂eq by 2050.
