In Greece, the sub-sector Solid Fuels (part of Energy) was responsible for 0.3 Mt CO₂eq of emissions in the year 2021, which is 0.4% of total emissions in that year. Compared to 1990 (1.27 Mt CO₂eq), emissions have decreased by 76.1%. Under existing measures, emissions are projected to reach 0.18 Mt CO₂eq by 2025.
