Waste Water Treatment and Discharge

In Greece, the sub-sector Waste Water Treatment and Discharge (part of Waste) was responsible for 1.56 Mt CO₂eq of emissions in the year 2021, which is 2% of total emissions in that year. Compared to 1990 (2.87 Mt CO₂eq), emissions have decreased by 45.7%. Under existing measures, emissions are projected to reach 1.98 Mt CO₂eq by 2040.
