Incineration and open burning of waste

In Hungary, the sub-sector Incineration and open burning of waste (part of Waste) was responsible for 0.03 Mt CO₂eq of emissions in the year 2021, which is 0.042% of total emissions in that year. Compared to 1990 (0.11 Mt CO₂eq), emissions have decreased by 76.9%. Under existing measures, emissions are projected to reach 0.03 Mt CO₂eq by 2050.
