In Lithuania, the sector Buildings was responsible for 1.29 Mt CO₂eq of emissions in the year 2021, which is 6.6% of total emissions in that year. Compared to 1990 (5.69 Mt CO₂eq), emissions have decreased by 77.3%. Under existing measures, emissions from this sector are projected to reach 1.0 Mt CO₂eq by 2050.
