In Lithuania, the sub-sector Residential (part of Buildings) was responsible for 0.97 Mt CO₂eq of emissions in the year 2021, which is 4.9% of total emissions in that year. Compared to 1990 (2.58 Mt CO₂eq), emissions have decreased by 62.5%. Under existing measures, emissions are projected to reach 0.77 Mt CO₂eq by 2050.

What is part of this sector? Emissions from fuel consumption (e.g. heating and cooking) in residential buildings. This sub-sector also includes emissions from mobile sources such as snow groomers and snowmobiles.
