In Lithuania, the sub-sector Residential (part of Buildings) was responsible for 1.02 Mt CO₂eq of emissions in the year 2021, which is 5% of total emissions in that year. Compared to 1990 (2.58 Mt CO₂eq), emissions have decreased by 60.7%. Under existing measures, emissions are projected to reach 0.81 Mt CO₂eq by 2050.
