In Poland, the sector Waste was responsible for 4.68 Mt CO₂eq of emissions in the year 2021, which is 1.3% of total emissions in that year. Compared to 1990 (19.61 Mt CO₂eq), emissions have decreased by 76.1%. Under existing measures, emissions from this sector are projected to reach 3.4 Mt CO₂eq by 2050.
