In Portugal, the sector Mobility was responsible for 15.91 Mt CO₂eq of emissions in the year 2021, which is 28.2% of total emissions in that year. Compared to 1990 (10.82 Mt CO₂eq), emissions have increased by 47.1%. Under existing measures, emissions from this sector are projected to reach 5.5 Mt CO₂eq by 2050.
