Compared to 1990 (4.47 Mt CO₂eq), emissions have decreased by 37.4%. Under existing measures, emissions are projected to reach 3.36 Mt CO₂eq by 2040.
What is part of this sector? Emissions caused by the fertilisation of soil (e.g. nitrogen fertiliser, liquid manure, sewage sludge) or by urine and manure from grazing animals.
This sub-sector accounts for 32.3% of Agriculture emissions in Greece.
