Wastewater treatment and discharge

In Latvia, the sub-sector Wastewater treatment and discharge (part of Waste) was responsible for 0.13 Mt CO₂eq of emissions in the year 2021, which is 1.2% of total emissions in that year. Compared to 1990 (0.43 Mt CO₂eq), emissions have decreased by 70.2%. Under existing measures, emissions are projected to reach 0.10 Mt CO₂eq by 2050.
